What slows down your pricing teams

Manual re-entry

The bill of quantities arrives in PDF or Excel with a different format for every tender. Your teams spend hours re-entering line items into their own spreadsheet before even starting to price.

Data entry errors

A misplaced decimal, a confused unit, a price copied to the wrong line. On 200 items, the slightest error ends up in the final amount and can cost you the contract.

No price benchmark

Your unit prices are based on internal experience, with no market reference. No way to know if you are above, below, or within the range of awarded contracts.

From raw bill of quantities to reliable pricing

1

Import bill of quantities

Upload the file as-is (PDF or Excel). Doaken detects the table structure and extracts each line: description, quantity, unit.

2

Price comparison

Each unit price is compared against historical data from 367,000+ awarded public contracts (data.gouv.fr). Significant gaps trigger a visual alert.

3

Adjustment and export

Define your K coefficient (overhead, contingencies, margin), adjust prices, and integrate the pricing into the submission package.

40 to 60% of the final score depends on the price of services. Structured, benchmarked pricing protects your margins as much as it protects your competitiveness.

What it changes for your pricing team

More tenders priced

Automatic extraction eliminates re-entry. Your teams price the tenders they didn't have time to handle.

Zero ALB risk

Price alerts detect amounts below the market threshold before submission. You avoid justification requests for abnormally low bids.

Profit margins protegees

The K coefficient breaks down your overhead, contingencies and margin. You see the impact on each item before locking in prices.

Team focused on strategy

No more re-entry and manual checks. Your estimating team focuses on pricing strategy and negotiation.

Everything about bill of quantities pricing

Which bill of quantities formats are supported?
Doaken accepts bills of quantities in PDF and Excel (.xls, .xlsx) formats. The platform automatically detects the table structure (description, quantities, units, unit prices) regardless of the format used by the buyer. No prior conversion is needed.
How does Doaken compare my prices to the market?
You upload your bill of quantities and your own unit prices (your company price database). Doaken compares them against historical data from 367,000+ awarded public contracts listed on data.gouv.fr. You immediately see whether your prices are within the market range, above or below. If a price is significantly low, an alert warns you of the risk of an abnormally low bid.
How does the K coefficient work?
The K coefficient groups your overhead costs, contingencies and profit margin. Doaken lets you define each component and calculates the overall coefficient. It is automatically applied to all your reference unit prices to obtain your selling prices. You can adjust the K by lot or by item according to your strategy.
Do the alerts detect abnormally low bids?
Yes. Doaken compares each entered unit price against the market range. If a price is significantly below the threshold observed on awarded contracts, a visual alert warns you. This protects against the risk of an abnormally low bid, which can trigger a justification request or elimination.
Is the pricing exportable for submission?
Yes. The finalized pricing in Doaken is integrated into the complete submission package. During ZIP export, the priced bill of quantities is included in the format expected by the buyer, along with the technical proposal and administrative documents. Everything is ready for submission on the e-procurement platform.
Can multiple people work on the same pricing?
Yes. Multiple team members can work on the same pricing. Each change is tracked with the author and timestamp. You can view the complete version history and restore a previous version if needed.
